Phase 2: Vision

Greenfield Community Garden
After the food system assessment has been completed, we will have a whole systems perspective of our current food system. From this, we can begin to build a vision for creating a local, just, and vibrant food system. During the Vision Phase of the project, community members and other food system stakeholders will come together to brainstorm ideas, refine them based on where the greatest need and potential align, and plan the next steps to bring our vision into reality.

Recommendations from the vision phase could include concepts for new businesses or non-profits, urban agriculture initiatives, fresh and local food access programs, city zoning and policy changes, distribution networks for county farmers to bring more of their products directly to institutions, grocery stores, and restaurants, and community educational programs.
